During a hearing Tuesday at Manhattan’s Thurgood Marshall Courthouse Spiro joined Lance Lazarro, Dawn Florio, and several other lawyers on the racketeering case.Alex Spiro will be representing the 23-year-old Brooklyn rapper. Spiro has represented Patriots owner Robert Kraft in his prostitution case, 21 Savage in his immigration visa case, and Jay-Z in a diversity/trademark case. Tekashi 6ix9ine is fighting to stay out of prison as his federal racketeering case moves through the courts in New York. 6ix9ine took a pleas deal and has since been cooperating with the government. Ten members of his former affiliation, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods have also taken guilty pleas.
During the hearing on Tuesday, it was also revealed that Anthony “Harv” Ellison, who allegedly kidnapped and robbed Tekashi 6ix9ine last year, “is going to trial.” This is all according to Ellison’s lawyer Deveraux Cannick. Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, are the only defendants in the case who have not yet pleaded guilty.
