Fetty Wap was arrested for beating up a valet in Las Vegas.
Fetty Wap was allegedly arrested for tussling with a valet in Las Vegas. The outlet declares that it was at the city’s Mirage Hotel and Casino that Fetty punched the worker three times.
It was a hotel resident who was forced to make a citizen’s arrest to end the altercation, detaining Fetty until law enforcement arrived.
Sources say that Fetty, born Willie Maxwell, was booked on three counts of misdemeanor battery. They add that he was released several hours after his original detainment.
He was reportedly released after remaining in custody for several hours.
This arrest arrives just months after it was revealed that the rapper is under investigation for assaulting a woman from the set of one of his music videos. His accuser filed a report with the LAPD. The assault took place at an Airbnb in the Hollywood Hills. It was the result of an angry discussion after Fetty and his accuser entered a room together.
The evidence in question includes a video clip in which the woman accuses Fetty of hitting her as well as a witness. He has not been formally charged for the alleged assault.
The incident came less than a week after the 679 artist was one in a group of New Jersey-based artists to close out the MTV Video Music Awards.
He performed alongside Queen Latifah, Wyclef Jean, Redman and Naughty by Nature in the Jersey-centric ensemble.
The My Way rapper was under a probe earlier this summer in Los Angeles, according to TMZ after a woman accused him of manhandling her.
The pair initially crossed paths in June at a shoot for a music video and later went to a party held at an Airbnb in the Hollywood Hills, police sources told the outlet.
The woman eventually wound up in a room alone with the rap artist, and in footage published on the website. He argued with her and appeared to smack at a camera she was holding. The conflict was over other women the rapper had invited to the Airbnb.
She subsequently filed a report about the incident with the Los Angeles Police Department, who told the outlet they were investigating the incident.
