A$AP Rocky’s tour manager John Ehmann was awakened then frisked by Swedish authorities while he lay dormant in a hotel room. Ehmann was holding tight, awaiting news on the status of A$AP Rocky’s looming molestation and assault charges – when four police officers stammered into his hotel room brandishing a search warrant.

The singer was arrested on federal sex charges on Thursday, about five months after he was released on bail for additional sexual abuse charges brought by Illinois prosecutors. According to Gerald Griggs, the attorney representing Joycelyn Savage’s family and several other “victims” who’ve testified against R. Kelly – the Northern District of Illinois has unearthed well over 20 home videos in which he ostensibly performs sexual acts with minors. R. Kelly’s penchant for videotaping himself and his “captives” in the act is nothing new, yet the sheer depths of his collection is altogether startling. You can bet Griggs and federal law enforcement will do everything to get these documents cleared for use in court. If deemed suitable, the 20 sex tapes will likely form the basis of Kelly’s 5-count federal indictment, issued on Thursday.

Several days ago, R. Kelly was apprehended by federal law enforcement agents while taking his dog for a stroll in the neighborhood. The 13 federal counts range in seriousness from the mildest offense: obstruction of justice, to various counts of “enticement of a minor to engage in criminal activity,” and child pornography.

Within the same body of text is outlined a scenario in which R. Kelly connected with a preteen aged 12 or 13-years old, only to consummate the relationship, in a sexual capacity, two years later in 1998-1999. “Anthony Ellison is going to trial,” Cannick told reporters after the hearing. He emphasized that his client was determined to make the “Gummo” rapper prove who assaulted and robbed him.

“The only motive he has [for going to trial]: if Tekashi’s the one making the accusation, he wants to say, prove it,” Cannick said of Ellison. “Tekashi has mastered the art of marketing, trolling, and, for lack of a better word, fabricating.”

Cannick pointed out that 6ix9ine’s initial public statements after the July 22 incident did not name Ellison. At the time, the star said only that it was “an inside job.”

“Did he say [Ellison was involved] when he first came to the world? No, he didn’t,” Cannick elaborated. “The only thing that they’re going after Ellison on is the so-called robbery and kidnapping of Tekashi.”

Both defendants, he pointed out, were accused by the government of being members of a criminal organization, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Cannick scoffed at the possibility of the incident being part of a conspiracy. “A racketeerer kidnapping a racketeerer? Come on,” he said.

Engelmayer mentioned 6ix9ine as a “potential witness” during the trial. Cannick seemed unconcerned on the celebrity’s possible effect on the jury.

“We just want 12 fair-minded individuals who are prepared to listen to the proof and hold the government to its burden,” he said. He then speculated on 6ix9ine’s potential prison sentence.

“Tekashi did a lot of horrible things,” the lawyer said. “He could get time served. I don’t think he deserves it, but you never know.”

Cardi B is firing back at Jermaine Dupri after the record producer slammed today’s female hip hop stars as “strippers rapping.”

During an appearance on PEOPLE Now, Dupri, 46, shared his opinion on women in the industry, explaining Da Brat paved the way for them to “sell a lot of records.”

R. Kelly Arrested on Federal Sex Crime Charges

R. Kelly was arrested in Chicago Thursday night (July 11) on federal sex trafficking charges.Kelly was arrested by Homeland Security Investigation agents and NYPD detectives, and it is expected that he will be brought to New York following the arrest.

US attorney spokesman Joseph Fitzpatrick said that the indictment against Kelly handed down in federal court for the northern district of Illinois also contained charges that revolve around child pornography and obstruction of justice.

“The counts include child porn, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice,” Fitzpatrick said, adding that further details would be released later Friday.

The arrest was the second time this year that Kelly has been taken into custody in Chicago on sex charges.

The Grammy winner, whose real name is Robert Kelly, was arrested in February on 10 counts in Illinois involving four women, three of whom were minors when the alleged abuse occurred. He pleaded not guilty to those charges and was released on bail.

During the hearing on Tuesday, it was also revealed that Anthony “Harv” Ellison, who allegedly kidnapped and robbed Tekashi 6ix9ine last year, “is going to trial.” This is all according to Ellison’s lawyer Deveraux Cannick. Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, are the only defendants in the case who have not yet pleaded guilty.
