A$AP Rocky’s Bodyguard Chokes Out Alleged Victim In New Video

Jul 31, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

With A$AP Rocky’s trial now underway in Sweden, more and more information is starting to leak out. Previously, we saw videos of the rapper throwing his alleged victim onto the sidewalk before rallying the troops and stomping him out. Rocky claims he was acting in self-defense after two young men followed them through the streets of Stockholm, harassing passersby. The Harlem celebrity and two of his entourage members remain in jail and are fighting for their freedom. A new video of the beatdown shows the moments before punches started flying with A$AP Rocky’s bodyguard confronting Mustafa Jafari, grabbing him by the throat and forcefully pushing him down the path.

As reported by TMZ, the new video brings some doubt to the prosecution’s case. Jafari was not charged for striking the bodyguard because authorities say he acted in self-defense. However, Rocky’s hired muscle was also cleared on all charges. We’re not saying he should have been charged but the logic seems to be a little all over the place.

Shortly after the choking, Jafari punched the bodyguard and that’s when the brawl started. As you all know by now, A$AP Rocky has been sitting in a Sweden jail cell for the last month.

A$AP Rocky: US envoy for hostage affairs sent to Sweden for rapper’s trial

Jul 31, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

Donald Trump sent the US special presidential envoy for hostage affairs to Stockholm to monitor the court proceedings of the American rapper A$AP Rocky, according to Swedish news agency TT.

The special envoy Robert O’Brien was seen on Tuesday at Stockholm district court, where the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, faced trial.

Ruth Newman, a spokeswoman for the US Embassy in Stockholm, told TT that O’Brien was in Sweden “to look after the well-being of American citizens, which is always our top priority”.

Mayers is accused with two others of beating a 19-year-old man in Stockholm on 30 June and has been held in detention in Sweden since the beginning of July. His ongoing detention in Sweden prompted Donald Trump to personally intervene on his behalf. Mayers nevertheless remained behind bars, angering the US president.

Dressed in prison uniform of a green T-shirt and trousers, Mayers pleaded not guilty to assault on the first day of his trial on Tuesday.

The rapper sat near his mother, Renee Black, in the Stockholm district court.Prosecutors and defense lawyers presented competing narratives of what happened the night of the fight.

Prosecutors said 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari and a friend got into an argument with Mayers and one of his bodyguards near a fast-food restaurant where the rapper’s entourage had eaten and played video footage that showed Mayers throwing a young man to the ground.

Mayers has published videos on his Instagram account that showed him repeatedly pleading with Jafari and his friend to stop following him and his associates.

A$AP Rocky previously encountered violent situations on streets because of his fame and “there are some people who don’t always wish him well”, Jovicic said.

A$AP Rocky Pleads Not Guilty In Assault Trial With His Mother In Court

Jul 30, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

Stockholm, Sweden –American rapper A$AP Rocky pleaded not guilty to assault charges in a Swedish court on Tuesday, on the first day of a trial that has grabbed the attention of US President Donald Trump and the world’s media.

Best known for his song “Praise the Lord,” the 30-year-old performer, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was detained almost a month ago following a street brawl in the capital Stockholm on June 30. If convicted, A$AP Rocky, who was charged with assault last week, could face up to two years in prison.
On Tuesday morning, Swedish public prosecutor Daniel Suneson read out the charges against the artist and two other men in his entourage. Suneson said they assaulted the victim by kicking and beating him with a whole or part of a glass bottle while he lay on the ground.
The victim told the court he suffered injuries to his arm and head in the fight, as well as broken ribs. “I felt that they would beat me to death,” he said.
A$AP Rocky’s lawyer, Slobodan Jovicic, maintains his client did not commit any crime. The rapper asserts that he was acting in self-defense when he threw the victim to the ground and stepped on his arm.
“Please bear in mind that A$AP Rocky is an international, very well-known artist,” Jovicic said, adding that his client is used to being approached in the street, but that these men were “deeply provoking” and that he acted out of fear.
Both members of A$AP Rocky’s crew, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers, also deny any wrongdoing.
Magnus Stromberg, a lawyer for the victim, said his client is seeking 139,700 Swedish krona in damages (about $14,600).
The Stockholm District Court was packed with international press and A$AP Rocky’s family members, including his mother, Renee Black, who sat still, staring straight ahead as the charges were read out.
President Trump has appealed for A$AP Rocky’s release, and the US Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs, Robert O’Brien, was in court on Tuesday to “support the members of the family and the American citizens.”
O’Brien told CNN he wouldn’t go into details about his conversations with the President about the case, but that Trump “has made it very clear that he wants these individuals to come home as soon as possible.”
Some audience members were audibly sobbing and shaking their heads as Suneson showed evidence, including surveillance footage from the burger restaurant where the fight began.
In photos of the crime scene displayed to the court, a broken glass bottle was visible on the street where the brawl took place and a fragment of what appeared to be the same bottle could be seen stuck in A$AP Rocky’s sweater.
The victim described being “hit” and “stabbed” with broken glass, but Suneson said police did not find any finger prints or DNA on the bottle.
Playing a video clip of the exchange, Jovicic argued that the bottle was broken behind A$AP Rocky’s back as he was “occupied with throwing” the victim to the ground. He claimed that glass shards from the bottle could have been caught underneath his client’s shoe, which may have inadvertently cut the victim.
Jovicic also referred to transcriptions from the footage, when A$AP Rocky could be heard appearing to try to cool tensions: “Listen, listen. We don’t wanna fight you all. We’re not trying to go to jail.”
Footage of the altercation posted by TMZ and clips shared by A$AP Rocky himself, which have been at the heart of the investigation, were also played in court.
The prosecutor suggested that one of the videos shared by A$AP Rocky on Instagram had been edited to omit the moment when his security guard grabbed the victim by the neck and lifted him off the ground.
He also shared text messages exchanged between different members of A$AP Rocky’s team, who spoke about “cleaning up” and “deleting” the videos.
But Jovicic argued the videos painted a different picture — one of “aggressive” and “threatening” behavior by the victim, who he claimed attacked A$AP Rocky’s bodyguard and refused to stop following his crew.
“It is in this context that Mayers fears that there will be another attack on the bodyguard” and decides to throw the victim to the ground, Jovicic said.
Asked by the judge whether A$AP Rocky had stepped on the victim’s arm on purpose, Jovovic replied: “It was intentional.”
As the prosecutor detailed the case against A$AP Rocky, the rapper’s fans were gathered in a nearby room to watch the proceedings unfold on a big screen.
“I’m a big fan of A$AP Rocky,” Marie-Thiella Hakizmana, one of those gathered at court, told CNN. “I think he will be convicted — there is quite a lot of evidence against him. It would be right to convict him, but he shouldn’t get a very long sentence, since he was provoked.”
“I mean, there are laws in Sweden, just because you are a celebrity doesn’t mean you should get away,” she added.
That fact is something that Swedish authorities tried to impress upon Trump after he took an interest in A$AP Rocky’s case, campaigning for the rapper’s release.
The US President previously said on Twitter that he had spoken with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and “offered to personally vouch for (A$AP Rocky’s) bail, or an alternative.”
But Swedish law doesn’t have a bail system and after Swedish authorities refused to release the musician, Trump tweeted: “Give A$AP Rocky his FREEDOM. We do so much for Sweden but it doesn’t seem to work the other way around. Sweden should focus on its real crime problem!”
In response, Löfven’s spokesperson Mikael Lindström said in a statement to CNN that “all people in Sweden are equal before the law.”
“The Government is not allowed, and will not attempt, to influence the legal proceedings, which are now ongoing,” Lindström said.
Several high-profile celebrities including Kim Kardashian West, musical artists Post Malone and Shawn Mendes, and actress Jada Pinkett Smith have also thrown their support behind the rapper, petitioning for his release using the hashtag “JusticeForRocky.”
The trial, at the Stockholm District Court, is scheduled to continue on Thursday and Friday.
Under Swedish law, A$AP Rocky could face a maximum penalty of two years in prison. However, according to Swedish media, the prosecutors have indicated they do not expect to ask for the maximum penalty.

Nipsey Hussle’s Shop To Be Surrounded By Police On His Birthday: Report

Jul 29, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

The LAPD will reportedly be out in full force for Nipsey Hussle’s birthday.

Nipsey Hussle was tragically murdered in front of his clothing shop earlier this year and since then, the corner has been used as an unofficial place of remembrance for the 33-year-old rapper. Fans and friends of the late, great Nipsey Hussle have been gathering in the Crenshaw neighbourhood of Los Angeles to pay their respects to the “Hussle & Motivate” artist and the police is expecting a large turnout on Hussle’s upcoming birthday. The rapper, born Ermias Asghedom, would have been turning 34 on August 15 and according to TMZ, The Marathon Clothing will feature a high presence of cops next month in case anything pops off.

Although August 15 is still a few weeks away, the LAPD is ready for anything that may occur outside of Nip’s shop. The force is reportedly well aware of how respected Nip was in his neighbourhood, anticipating a turnout of thousands to celebrate his birthday in August. While they won’t be taking any chances, over one hundred policemen are expected to be patrolling the area. Most of them will be wearing street clothes though, in order to remain anonymous and to not scare off anybody.

As noted in the report, Hussle’s estate has not yet announced any plans to celebrate the rapper’s birthday next month. There will likely be an organized event to follow up the official Celebration of Life that took place at the STAPLES Center.

Back in April, thousands attended The Victory Lap rapper’s memorial service held at Staples Center in Los Angeles to honor the slain entertainer. During the memorial service, many spoke about Hussle’s significance on the culture including his girlfriend Lauren London, family members, Snoop Dogg and many more. Barack Obama penned a heartfelt letter sending his sympathies to Hussle’s family.

“I’d never met Nipsey Hussle, but I’d heard some of his music through my daughters, and after his passing, I had the chance to learn more about his transformation and his community work,” the letter reads. “While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets, and despair, Nipsey saw potential.”

Obama continued: “He saw hope. He saw a community that, even through its flaws, taught him to always keep going. His choice to invest in that community rather than ignore it — to build a skills training center and a coworking space in Crenshaw; to lift up the Eritrean-American community; to set an example for young people to follow — is a legacy worth of celebration. I hope his memory inspires more good work in Crenshaw and communities like it.”

Paula Jai Parker Reveals Diddy Used To Get Beat Up Back in The Day

Jul 29, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

Paula Jai Parker is the actress who played Joi in 1995’s classic, and beloved comedy Friday. Parker appeared on VladTV last night for an interview, in which she made a pretty interesting revelation about New York’s very own Diddy. While speaking to DJ Vlad about fostering relationships in the entertainment industry, the Parker revealed that she once saw Diddy on the receiving end of a beatdown.

“I met Puffy, he was getting beat up!” she said, unable to contain her good-humored smile. “But we love Puffy. I be like, ‘Leave Puffy alone! I be the first one.” After a shocked Vlad inquired about Diddy’s past of getting beat up, a surprised Parker replied  “oops.” She went on to say how she “thought everybody knew. I didn’t know people didn’t know. Sorry Puffy.” Well she sure revealed something fans would be interested in knowing.

Paula and Diddy attended Howard University together, but she didn’t elaborate on who did the beating up. Maybe she will in a future interview.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Girlfriend Jade Posts His Release Date

Jul 29, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

According to the incarcerated rapper’s girlfriend Jade, 6ix9ine – who was arrested last year on racketeering charges – won’t be in jail for much longer.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s jail release date might be approaching sooner than you think, according to his girlfriend Jade.

The model took to Instagram to give a shout out to her incarcerated boo, whom she began dating prior to his racketeering arrest at the end of last year.

“6 more months motherfucker,” she wrote alongside a selfie flashing her multiple tattoos dedicated to the 23-year-old New York rapper.

Jade’s original caption suggested that 6ix9ine’s potential release date is still slated for early 2020. As previously reported, the rapper is scheduled to appear in court in January next year.

6ix9ine potentially faces a mandatory sentence of 47 years in prison if found guilty of the charges against him, despite cooperating with police in his racketeering case.

Soon after she posted the picture, Jade amended her caption. She changed it to: “These jail calls are serious.” Jade is yet to address the alteration.

Last month, 6ix9ine’s former affiliate Kintea “Kooda B” McKenzie pleaded guilty in court for the racketeering case that involves the rapper and the shooting attempt at Chief Keef in New York.

Kooda claimed Tekashi “wanted to intimidate rather than actually hit the individual,” before admitting he organised the shooting because “because Tekashi asked me to arrange this.”

R. Kelly’s Girlfriends Are Shopping For Management & PR Reps: Report

Jul 27, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

It wasn’t until Lifetime aired their Surviving R. Kelly exposé that the public was aware of R. Kelly’s current accusations against him. People have gossiped for decades about his alleged involvement with seducing and having illicit sexual encounters with underage girls, but the docuseries showcased graphically detailed stories from women who accused the singer of sexual assault and misconduct.

During that time, the world also learned of Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage, two women who say they’re Kelly’s girlfriends. Their families, however, claim that the young women are either being held against their will or have been brainwashed by Kelly. Whatever the truth may be, Clary and Savage are dedicated to sticking by Kelly’s side, even now as he sits in jail on federal charges.

One can’t help but note that these women have been silent and unnoticed for some time because they don’t have much of a social media presence. Yet, since Kelly has been behind bars and his team has reportedly scattered, Clary has been online more often than before. She’s faced accusations of being Kelly’s slave, and now that he can’t control her, she now has access to the world that she’s never had before. Clary has stated those claims are just not true.

According to TMZ, the world may be seeing more of Clary and Savage as they are currently shopping for Hollywood management and public relations representatives to help shift their image. The outlet states the ladies would like to change the public’s perception of them as well as obtain acting and modeling gigs. There are even rumors that they’re interested in building a business.

A representative for the two reportedly emailed TMZ and wrote that they “just want to get a positive name for themselves rather then [sic] the negative rumors their parents have accused them of.”

A$AP Rocky Officially Charged With Assault by Swedish Prosecutors: Report

Jul 25, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

For weeks, A$AP Rocky’s supporters have held out hope that Swedish officials would drop their investigation into the rapper. Unfortunately, it was announced on Thursday morning thatprosecutors have officially charged Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, with assault, according to The Associated Press. This comes on the heels of the news that one of the two men who stalked, assaulted, and harassed Rocky and his entourage would not face any charges.

There have been relentless efforts by politicians and White House officials, including President Trump, to come to an agreement with both the Swedish government and prosecutors to have Rocky released. However, prosecutors have made it clear that the American government has no weight or say in how they navigate their court system.

Contrary to reports, the deputy governor at the jail where Rocky is being detained has stated the rapper’s living conditions are both sanitary and comfortable. According to Billboard, each cell has a bed with a mattress, a television, a sink, and Rocky reportedly has full access to reading materials and radios. Inmates also interact with each other up five hours a day.

Meanwhile, there has been a call to boycott Sweden until Rocky is released, but not everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

No information has been released on how much time he is facing if found guilty.

Sweden Provides Photo Of A$AP Rocky’s Cell; Pushes Back Against Racism Claim

Jul 25, 2019 by admin - 0 Comments

At the beginning of A$AP Rocky’s Swedish ordeal, his people claimed he was being held in inhuman condition.

Sweden is pushing back on that by providing Billboard with a photo of the college dorm-like cell he’s currently residing.

Anette Skeppar-Forström, deputy governor of the Kronoberg detention center, explained each cell in the facility has a bed, mattresses, desk and private TV.  Inmates have access to books and radio, and can spend up to five hours a day socializing with other prisoners.

“If someone spills their food, has any type of accident or hurts themselves [in a way] which might cause blood, we immediately sanitize, using a professional cleaning company,” Skeppar-Forström said.

Jerzy Sarnecki, a criminology professor at Stockholm University, disputed the assertion that Rocky is being mistreated because of race, pointing out that the man he fought with — who is not being held — is an Afghan, not a Swede.

“Of course we have problems with racism in Sweden as in most other countries,” he said. “But that Swedish prosecutors or courts should act racist in such a case is very unlikely.

There is no reason for people in this country to treat people from the U.S. — even if they are black — worse than someone from Afghanistan,” he added.

Sarnecki did add that Sweden has been criticized for the amount of time they are allowed to hold suspected criminals without charging them. They also have no bail system. Rocky has been held for three weeks without charge.
