Brad Jordan aka Scarface of the Legendary Geto Boyz is running for city council and is no longer answering to Scarface.The rapper says he wants to make a difference in his community.
Jordan had not released his political platform, but his campaign slogan, “Of the People, For the People,” is featured prominently on his campaign website.
Jordan, 48, is a founding member of the Geto Boys, the iconic hip-hop group that helped put Houston on the map. He made his announcement as news circulated that fellow Geto Boys member Bushwick Bill had taken a turn for the worse in his battle against pancreatic cancer.
Bushwick Bill,born Richard Stephen Shaw, died Sunday at the age of 52.
